Thank You For
Answering The Call

I am Salamane Yameogo, Founder of Campus Call (The C-Call). I created C-Call with a simple but unstoppable mission: money should never stop a dream. We are here to answer the calls of students: the dreamers, the builders, the leaders, whose potential is the most valuable legacy we can leave to the world.
My Journey: From Closed Doors to a Global Mission
I was born in Ivory Coast, in a family where education was a privilege, not a guarantee. By 2004, after years of hard work, I had earned my Master’s in Law at the University of Ouagadougou. Then, my greatest opportunity arrived: I was accepted into the Graduate Institute of International Development in Geneva, a door to a new future. But that door had a price tag: $500 CAD for a flight ticket to Switzerland. For many, that is pocket change. For me, it was a mountain I had no idea how to climb. I knocked on every possible door: ministers, professors, government officials and family members. I was told things like: “Money is not picked from the ground.” and “Who do you think you are to ask?” Some ignored me. Some rejected me. Some even chased me out of their offices. Each “no” was a blow, but it did not break me.
The Day That Changed Everything
Then, one person Professor Luc Ibriga, listened. I still remember the day vividly. I told him my story, my dream, my challenge. He looked at me with a mix of seriousness and kindness and said: “Follow me.” We left his office and climbed onto his green motorcycle. The city streets blurred as we rode in silence. We stopped in front of a small bank. He walked in, withdrew $800 CAD, placed the money in my hands, and said: “Do not pay me back. Follow your dreams. Realize your potential.”
I was speechless. Overwhelmed. I had never seen such trust, such generosity, from someone who owed me nothing. That act of kindness did more than get me on a plane. It showed me what it means to invest in a human being. It taught me that one person’s belief can change the trajectory of a life.
From One Baton to Millions
In 2022, Professor Ibriga passed away. But before he left this world, he unknowingly handed me something far more powerful than $800, he passed me the baton.
That baton is not just money. It is belief. It is opportunity. It is hope.
Today, Campus Call exists to carry that baton forward from one dreamer to another, from one generation to the next until millions have received it and are running their own race.
